Sleep is something we all need, but something we rarely get enough of. In fact, the National Institute of Health says one in three people have trouble staying asleep or can’t fall asleep at all, a disorder called insomnia.
Sleep gives our brains the time they need to restore energy, repair our bodies and make memories. We also need sleep to exercise parts of the brain we might not use often. This can help us overcome the stresses of everyday life, but only if we’re getting the right amount of good sleep.
